The End of The Revamp? Maybe...

After days of back breaking chores of shifting the set up from downstairs living room to upstairs hall, I have nearly reached to what I wanted as a combined set up between 2 channel music and 5.1 channel home theatre.

I have decided to maintain the following for my 2 channel set up:

1. MF M6i integrated amp
2. MF M6 DAC
3. MF M1 CDT
4. MF M1 ViNL
5. MF M1 CLiC (until I get a good price to let it go)
6. Clearaudio Concept TT
7. Oppo HA-1 headphone amp
8. Beyerdynamic T1 headphone
9. SONY MDS-JA20ES MDP

The only debate left is whether to maintain 2 different speakers ProAc and PMC in this combined set up.

My music (LP, MD, CD) and movies (BD, DVD) collection are now also in the same area except for CDs in which need to be shifted out from the jamming room to the hall.

My subwoofer also now found a new place... rear of the hall, thanks to the wireless system.

And last but not least... my 4TB NAS for music and movies over the network system.

Another Hi Fi Revamp - Part of The Growing Family Process

After 2 years having the spacious downstairs living room where I have hosted a few hi fi sessions with friends, it has come to another round of revamp requirement. Mainly due to my growing kids (all the running around between an 8, 5 and 3 years kids), the hi fi set up downstairs started to look 'bulky'. So, I have decided to to move up as many as possible hi fi gear I have and combine with my HT set up upstairs. A lot of my precious gave have been sacrificed and sold.

• Darbee
• Lots of Interconnect and cable from VDH, QED, IXOS
• Onkyo Integra TA 2600 tape deck

• MF M1 CDT
• MF M6 DAC
• ProAc vs PMC

However, we cannot live without music downstairs.... so now I am waiting anxiously for the Xount below.

The Good, Never The Bad and Never the Ugly.....

An Indonesian audiophile residing in KL.....

One of my work and hifi mentor... have  been in and out residing in Malaysia... is an avid fan of Luxman amps, JBL B&W and now Audio Note Speakers, Musical Fidelity DACs.... and this is his temporary set up while he is here in KL.

I wish I can have a listen to his main set up in Jakarta. 

A newbie starter kit.....in Damansara Height

As our FB group of What Are You Listening To Right Now (WAYLTRN) had our first gathering few months back, an avid music listener cum drummer cum an old offshore friend...had his first poison of the black disc.... I then hooked him up with one of our most friendly hifi/AV dealer to fulfill his musical serenity desire..... which also include his home theatre requirement.

And of course... Maxx Audio did not fail him. Pioneer BDP, Marantz AVR, Clearaudio Bluemotion TT, Audio Image Phono Stage, Acoustic Energy Series 1 5 channel speaker and of course... Maxx's strength in Malaysia... an SVS sub.

Our friend is a happy camper now... wonder when I can get back my Cranberries, G & R and ACDC LPs hehehe

Oh... I have also poisoned him with High Fidelity Pure Audio...

Sting has been in the scene for quite sometime... an avid music listener... who dares go for serious experiment in hifi component matching. With zero chance to demo any of these kit locally... he did and extensive research to ensure everything blends in... 

And... he is also enjoying the benefit from having Frank Voon famous power bank....

Malaysia hifi scene is very much alive... a lot of interesting set ups within the community.
