Centre Circle Audio Demo Rooms - Majestic Meets Audio Nirvana

I think I have mentioned a few times that AvantGarde is one of the speakers that I really like to own a pair but given my hifi is set up in the living room, it is impossible to get the Home Minister to agree to place a pair there. 😂😂.

Nevertheless, each time I have a chance to listen to a pair, I seldom will say no. When Nelson of Centre Circle Audio invited me for a private listening after I missed their event sometime in February (I was in Korea), I quickly set a date which was end of March.

Centre Circle Audio (CCA) is the place to go to listen to brands like AvantGarde, VPI, Aries Cerat, Boenicke, Mola Mola, Kharma, VAC and many more. Over the years listening to their set ups in KLIAV shows, I have seen their consistent effort in ensuring their set ups are among the best. While the show was great, their set up in their TTDI shop is nonetheless a very engaging experience. By the way, they also provide home cinema set ups.

At the ground floor, CCA had the HiFi ROSE streamer as the source and music was pushed through a pair of Kharma speakers. Although the Kharma speakers were only set up there temporarily, it still sounded solid with good delivery of musicality. Not the best room size but decent enough for low volume listening.

On the 2nd floor, there were 2 rooms. One room housed the mighty AvantGarde Trio speakers and the other room, housed Boenicke speakers. Looking at the size of the Trio, I was preparing myself to be blown away. I mean literally and physically blown away just like the classic commercial video of Maxell tapes. However, the room was acoustically tuned properly that the music coming out of the speakers was just magical and majestic. Bass was solid, extended and just at the right thump while mids and highs sounded luscious and soothing at the same time. Have a listen to these samplers. 

I didn't get the chance to listen to the Boenicke but given my experience listening to them in my house, it should be able to deliver an exceptional performance as well. Complete KRONOS Audio Discovery Solution at YL Audio

YL Audio have been around for quite some time now and always known to be home of  Kronos, Absolare and the one of a kind Ocean Five blue speakers, featured in manay KLIAV shows. Fans of these brands usually will have to either visit a Kronos owner or visit James Chin's home.  However, now audiophiles can visit their new show room  at Ten Kinrara Residence, Unit C-02-02, Jalan BK 5A/2D, Bandar Kinrara.

In conjunction with the Kronos head honcho, Louis Desjardins visit to Malaysia, YL Audio organised a Kronos Discovery Presentation for media and audiophiles on 19th March 2023. Attendees get to see and admire the full Kronos solution in a more exclusive ambient. We also get to listen to Louis sharing on the design and how it all came about.

  

What is an audio event without a good meal right? All of us headed out to lunch in a nearby kopitiam. James, being the good host, treated us for a nice meal and a very friendly and cozy restaurant. At the end of the day, the audiophile camaraderie is what we are here for.

Uniq Fidelity Is The Home For SB Acoustics, Holo Audio and Alexandria Audio

Uniq Fidelity is one of the newest hifi shop opened in the recent months. Located just above Decathlon Bandar Sri Damansara, the outlet is quite cozy and chill to hang out. Equipped with 3 main brands SB Acoustics, Holo Audio and Alexandria Audio, the outlet will allow you demo these brands with a Gryphon Diablo 300 integrated amp.

Besides these 3 brands, Uniq Fidelity also carry a few of Finite Element products.

Uniq Fidelity made the headlines in last year's KLIAV show where they had 2 rooms to showcase both the Sasandu and Ara Be which I have reviewed both.

Currently, the shop only open by appointment but fret not, this may just be one of the hifi shops that can be opened at night for a demo for those who are busy on the weekends and need to demo after work.

A New Shop In Town Soon - YY AUDIO SYSTEMS

After a very successful hifi event back in January to launch the Gryphon EOS 2 speakers, YY Sound Systems and Reference Audio are now in the midst of opening up a dedicated shop for audiophiles to audition products of Gryphon, CH Precision, Jadis and Magico. Targeted to be fully open before the mid year of 2023, a temporary lot has been set up at Lot 1.13, Level 1, Glo Damansara.

I had the opportunity to go and listen to the currently available set up on 11th March 2023.

Given the open space and also the acoustically untreated room, the sound was still undeniably enjoyable. The Gryphon amplification and speakers are really engaging and coupled with digital sources from CH Precision, I do believe it will be a one fine set up once the main room is fully constructed.
