An Evening With A Mentor.... A Friend

Just enjoying music...

The best part of this hobby is not about to outclass one another setup, but its about friendship and passion sharing .... And enjoy the music and company of friends...

This dear friend of mine whom is also a mentor in hifi and work... Mix and match his set up based on years of experimenting... Heck, he even built his own power cable at one point using an Oil and Gas industry cable...

The set up above comprises of B&W and Wharfedale speakers, Lexicon and Luxman power amps, a tube pre amp which I now forgot the brand, NAD CD player, Luxman and Rega TT, airport express and his latest addition.... My Musical Fidelity M1 DAC.... Hehehe

Nice warm sound from his set up... And with the M1 DAC, soundstage was  further opened...

And.... I receive a gift from him... And its not even my birthday....

So... Here is a BIG THANK YOU to Mr. S.K..... From Jakarta...

.... And Now Its Even Harder to Bring Back Life to Music

I posted the previous entry to inform readers that this blog will be suspended till further notice with the hope that I will be given a longer time to care for my mother.

But God loves her more. 655 am, 15th June, thats when her chest stop moving. I thank God for giving me the opportunity to be beside my mother when she is to return to The Almighty.

As my late dad was the reason I got into hifi, my late mother was responsible for the nurturing of it. She bought me my first Sharp Mini Compo with Double Deck Cassette slot. And she bought me my first real 5 piece Pearl Forum Series drum set.

I remembered the first time I set up my hifi after returning from UK in my parents house. And my mum listened to her favourite track - Widuri by Broery Marantika/Bob Tutopoli... She had tears in her eyes... Tears of joy...

Mama.... I am nothing without you. I am who I am now is because of your undying love. I am missing you...

Music Means Nothing At The Moment!

God have given me the oppotunity to care for my mother in her last few weeks battling cancer.

Only have time for work and caring for her at the moment.

Listening to music is confined to while driving to and fro work and most of time, my mind and soul does not sink in to what is playing.

My review page is currently suspended.
