The KLIAV show this 22 to 24 July weekend promises another fantastic show with various aspects of the 2 channel, home theatre and headfi galore. With that in mind, visitors will again be receiving this limited edition CD. In its 5th year of production, I found that the track compilation done by Jo Ki represents the very essence of music listening variety and topped up by excellent sound quality.
All 16 tracks cover a good individual strength from solo vocal, string works, low end bass, percussion and not to mention vocal harmonies. This compilation offers listener at least for me that is, introduction to new artist and their own composition or renditions of evergreens like Come Together.
Track 1 by Doug Macleod kicks off in a country manner with a good relaxing mood followed by a Chinese track Wang Yun Yi. The beauty of music overcomes any language barrier as I quiet enjoyed the vocal on this number. My personal favourite is the guitar works on track 5 Ajda and track 12 Come Together by Antonio Forcione. Excellent arrangement with very detail recording quality. Reminds me of the legendary Nils Lofgren live acoustic album.
Percussion was another highlight on this compilation. Play the track Golden Spear Steel Horse and you can give your hifi system a gooooodd nice whack.... I mean test :)
This CD alone makes it worthwhile to visit the show this weekend. Each paying visitor will receive this Limited Edition CD but while stock lasts.
