I have been using the Oppo player for a good 1.5 years now....and only now that I found out that the player offers an iPhone/iPad app to fully control the unit. Not that the supplied remote cannot do that but after trying out the app, I find that the player is more responsive to the app rather than the remote unit itself. As long as your player is connected on the same wifi network with your phone, the app will detect the player.
